Terms and Conditions for Bookfolks App
These terms and conditions apply to the Bookfolks app (hereby referred to as the “Application”) for mobile devices created by MICHEL FELIPE DE SENA NASSIF LTDA (hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”) as an ad-supported service. By downloading or utilizing the Application, you automatically agree to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application.
Intellectual Property and Usage Restrictions
Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
Application Updates and Modifications
The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible. As such, they reserve the right to modify the Application or charge for its services at any time and for any reason. Any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you.
BookClub Feature
The Application includes a BookClub feature, which allows users to join discussions, share thoughts, and track collective reading progress. By participating in the BookClub, you agree to the following additional terms:
• Community Guidelines: Users must engage respectfully and constructively with others in discussions. Any content deemed offensive, harmful, or inappropriate may result in warnings, restricted access to BookClub features, or account suspension.
• Misbehavior: Misuse of the BookClub feature, including but not limited to hate speech, harassment, spamming, or sharing inappropriate content, will not be tolerated. The Service Provider reserves the right to take immediate action against such behavior, including removing offending content and revoking access to the Application.
• Content Responsibility: Users are solely responsible for the content they post. The Service Provider does not assume liability for user-generated content but reserves the right to moderate and remove content as needed.
Data Storage and Security
The Application stores and processes personal data provided by you to deliver its services. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your phone and access to the Application. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, as such actions could compromise your phone’s security and the Application’s functionality.
Third-Party Services
The Application uses third-party services, each with its own Terms and Conditions:

Internet and Device Responsibility
Some features of the Application, including the BookClub, require an active internet connection. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible for the Application’s functionality if you lack access to Wi-Fi or have exhausted your mobile data allowance. Any charges incurred by your network provider due to the Application’s usage are your responsibility.
Additionally, the Service Provider is not responsible for ensuring your device remains charged or operational. If your device runs out of battery and you are unable to access the Application, the Service Provider cannot be held liable.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider reserves the right to update the Application to improve features like the BookClub or maintain compatibility with device operating systems. You agree to accept updates when offered. The Service Provider may also terminate the Application’s availability without prior notice. Upon termination, your rights to use the Application will cease, and you must delete the Application from your device.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Please review this page regularly for any changes. Notifications about updates will be made available within the Application.
