    Welcome to Bookfolks, an application developed and maintained by MICHEL FELIPE DE SENA NASSIF LTDA (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the Application (“the App”), you agree to comply with the following terms:

    1. Intellectual Property and Usage Restrictions

    The App, its design, trademarks, and all related intellectual property are owned by us. You agree not to:

    • Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the App;
    • Reverse engineer or extract the App’s source code;
    • Misuse our trademarks, copyrights, or database rights.

    All rights not expressly granted under these Terms remain reserved.

    2. Updates and Modifications

    We are committed to providing a beneficial and efficient App. Therefore, we reserve the right to:

    • Update or modify the App’s features at any time;
    • Introduce charges for services, with prior notice provided.

    3. BookClub Feature

    The App includes a BookClub feature. By participating, you agree to:

    • Engage respectfully and follow our Community Guidelines;
    • Avoid hate speech, spamming, or sharing inappropriate content;
    • Take full responsibility for the content you post.

    Violation of these terms may result in warnings, restricted access to BookClub features, or account suspension.

    4. Subscriptions and Payments

    Some features of the App are available through paid subscriptions:

    • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) through your app store account;
    • You are responsible for ensuring that your payment method remains valid. Failure to process payment may result in suspension or cancellation of your subscription;
    • Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew;
    • Refunds are handled solely in accordance with the policies of the app store through which the subscription was purchased. We do not provide direct refunds;
    • We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing. Any changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect your current billing cycle.

    5. Data Collection and Privacy

    The App collects user data to provide its services. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details about data collection, use, and security measures.

    6. Third-Party Services

    The App integrates third-party services, each with their own Terms of Use and Privacy Policies, including:

    • Google Play Services
    • Google Analytics for Firebase
    • Firebase Crashlytics
    • One Signal
    • Revenu Cat

    7. Device and Internet Responsibility

    You are responsible for maintaining an active internet connection and ensuring your device’s functionality. We are not liable for issues arising from your device’s condition, lack of internet access, or data usage charges imposed by your carrier.

    8. Updates, Termination, and End of Service

    We may update the App to improve features or maintain compatibility. We also reserve the right to suspend or permanently discontinue the App (“End of Service”) at our sole discretion.

    • In the event of End of Service, active subscriptions will be canceled and access to paid features will cease;
    • You will not be entitled to refunds for partial subscription periods unless otherwise required by applicable law or app store policies;
    • Upon termination, you must delete the App from your device.

    9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

    The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of harmful components.

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any damages, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, arising from your use of the App.

    10. Changes to Terms of Use

    We may update these Terms of Use periodically. Notifications about updates will be made available within the App. Continued use of the App after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
